Mar 7, 2021–H-E-B has announced it will provide assistance in the amount of $10,000 in support of SystemsGo’s Rockets 2021/Central Texas Launch on April 29 through May 1 at Stonewall.

“It is our sincere hope that our support will help to make your Rockets 2021–Central Texas Launch a success,” said Lori Flores, H-E-B Public Affairs. “Thank you for contacting us with this wonderful opportunity to make an impact in our community. We wish you great success with your future endeavors.”

Rockets 2021 is the culminating event for the SystemsGo program, in which high school students design, build, and launch rockets designed to loft a one-pound payload one mile high, or exceed the speed of sound.

Students from 42 high schools will launch up to 150 rockets at three launch sites across Texas. The Central Texas launch will take place on April 29, 30, May 1, 2021, at Stonewall.

Due to mitigation standards for COVID-19, attendance at this year’s launch event will be limited to students and staff, with no general public access. However, the event will be livestreamed, with links posted at www.systemsgo.org.

“What a blessing this support is to our SystemsGo program,” said Scott Netherland, Executive Director. “We appreciate H-E-B for supporting our student rocket event, and encourage everyone to visit and support this generous organization.”
